On Tuesday, 22nd October, LIG CEO Emily Vernon and Fleet Manager Martin Jones unveiled the latest additions to the LIG fleet.
The two MAN TGE vehicles have been introduced as a versatile replacement for the current LIG Land Rover fleet. As an addition to our existing 4×4 fleet the two new vehicles have 4-wheel drive and off-road capabilities, offering an adaptable solution for accessing sites and more specifically greenfield and city centre sites.
Both vehicles are equipped with a Palfinger crane arm, one featuring a 5.8m arm length and a 990kg weight capacity, and the other with a 6m arm length and an 820kg weight capacity. Additionally, they are fitted with tow bars, allowing for the use of trailers which further extends their load capacity.
Beyond the standard safety features of the MAN TGE, LIG has chosen to enhance the vehicles’ safety functionality. This includes the addition of Chapter 8 markings to the rear, enhanced roof beacons, reversing cameras, white noise reversing alarms, and rear floodlights for extra visibility when working throughout the winter months and in low-light conditions. The vehicles are also dressed in the new LIG livery, which has been further improved by using reflective material to increase visibility.
The new fleet additions will be put to immediate use, proving ideal for cab deliveries, transporting mats, traffic management equipment, and delivering EV charging units and air conditioning systems to site.
LIG Fleet Manager, Martin Jones, added “It’s fantastic to see the two new additions to the LIG fleet on the road. We look forward to using these adaptable and reliable vehicles to deliver a wider range of projects for our customers.”
