Bourne Water Tower – Cambridge

Location: Bourne Water Tower – Cambridge

Scope of Works: Provide MEWP with lifting arm to lift Comms pack to roof of water tower and MEWP to provide access to cable run.

Challenges: Underground services were present on site and there were access restrictions due to a waste spoil pipe which reduced access to 2.7m

Solutions: following receipt of a detailed scope of works Commhoist deployed a site surveyor to assess the site so that a comprehensive solution could be created for our customer. Our Solution utilised a mobile elevated working platform with a reach of up to 50m complete with a lifting arm attachment to ensure access could be successfully gained. Nylocast mats were deployed to site on the day of works for additional ground protection due to the underground gas and water services. Prior civils work was recommended by our technical team and carried out to increase access around the Waste spoil pipe.

Outcome: Job completed successfully and right first time.
