Location: Congleton, Cheshire
Sector: Energy Infrastructure
Project Overview
LIG was commissioned by BMM Energy Solutions to execute a precision transformer installation at a challenging site in Congleton. The project demanded expert planning, agile equipment, and seamless coordination to deliver a safe and efficient lift in a restricted-access environment.
Our Approach
Success hinged on meticulous surveying and pre-planning. Our lifting and logistics team developed a tailored strategy that prioritised safety, precision, and minimal disruption. The installation showcased:
- Expert lift execution under tight spatial constraints
- Rigorous health and safety compliance
- Calm, composed project management from start to finish
Equipment Spotlight: The ‘Baby DAF’
This project marked a milestone for our fleet with the deployment of our new 18-tonne DAF lorry loader, affectionately dubbed the ‘Baby DAF’. Featuring a 12m boom, it offered the perfect combination of strength and manoeuvrability, essential for navigating the site’s limited access points.
The installation drew attention from client representatives and auditors, and was a standout visit for LIG CEO Emily Vernon. The professionalism and precision on display reflected the high standards we bring to every project.
Special thanks to Paul Breslin, Martin Anders, and Jonathan Waller for their outstanding work onsite. Their expertise and dedication were instrumental in delivering a flawless result.
