Lowton Infrastructure Group (LIG) has officially launched its new Traffic Management (TM) service, expanding its capability to support mobile telecoms upgrades, energy installations and major infrastructure programmes across the UK. The service brings together professional TM delivery with LIG’s wider lifting, logistics and site‑access operations creating a single point of accountability for clients who want safer, smoother and more coordinated project execution.

Traffic Management has long been central to how LIG keeps programmes moving safely. As demand for more connected, consistent and future‑ready TM grows, the business has invested in a dedicated TM function led by Phil Mather, LIG’s new Head of Traffic Management. Phil’s remit includes strengthening coordination, deepening collaboration with TM partners and ensuring TM planning is integrated earlier in the programme lifecycle.

The newly launched service provides end‑to‑end Traffic and Pedestrian Management, including planning, permitting, CAD design, installation, monitoring and demobilisation. With specialist vehicles, trained operatives and a safety‑first culture, LIG delivers TM solutions that protect communities, minimise disruption and keep essential works progressing.

A delivery partner, not just a TM provider

A key part of the launch is LIG’s commitment to operating as a delivery partner, not simply a TM supplier. By aligning TM with lifting operations, logistics and last‑mile delivery, LIG removes friction between contractors and ensures every movement on site is controlled, coordinated and communicated through one team.

This integrated model gives clients confidence that Traffic Management is delivered consistently across multiple regions, that lifting operations and TM work in complete sync, that site access and logistics are managed through one accountable partner, and that projects benefit from clearer communication, fewer delays and safer environments.

Built for national deployment

LIG’s TM service is structured for nationwide mobilisation, supporting fast‑turnaround deployments, complex multi‑phase works and major infrastructure programmes. Whether clients require full delivery support or Traffic Management as a standalone service, LIG provides the same level of reliability, responsiveness and operational control.

A future ready step for LIG

The launch marks a significant milestone in LIG’s growth, reinforcing TM as a strategic pillar of safe, efficient programme delivery. With dedicated leadership, expanded capability and a more connected operational model, LIG is setting a new standard for how TM should be delivered across the UK.

“At Lowton Infrastructure Group, we constantly listen to our clients and look for ways to make working with us safer, simpler and more cost-effective,” said Emily Vernon, CEO of LIG. “The launch of our in-house Traffic Management capability is a direct result of that approach. By bringing this service in-house, we can provide greater control, consistency and responsiveness, while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety and delivering even greater value to our customers.”

“Traffic Management is often the first interaction anyone has with a site, it sets the tone for safety and confidence,” said Phil Mather. “By giving TM a dedicated home within LIG, we’re strengthening how projects flow, how teams work together and how clients experience delivery.”
