Wigan Youth Zone

Recently, LIG HR Manager Toni Knight and our HR Administrator Thea Compton-Jones had the privilege of visiting the Wigan Youth Zone centre, a beacon of hope and opportunity for the local youth. As dedicated patrons of Wigan Youth Zone, they were eager to witness first hand the incredible impact this centre is making on children’s lives.

Wigan Youth Zone is more than just a community centre; it is a vibrant hub offering a wide array of activities designed to engage and inspire young people. From arts and crafts to a boxing gym, skate ramps, a mindfulness centre, a climbing wall, and cooking lessons, the centre provides a safe and nurturing environment for children to explore their interests and develop new skills.

The positive influence of Wigan Youth Zone on the local community is undeniable. The centre’s efforts have led to an impressive 85% decrease in anti-social behaviour in the area, showcasing the transformative power of providing young people with constructive outlets and support.

LIG is proud to support Wigan Youth Zone and is currently exploring additional ways to contribute to this amazing charity.
